CAD Technician – Canonsburg, PA


Fisher Associates has immediate openings for CAD Technicians in our Rochester, NY, Buffalo, NY and Canonsburg, PA offices.  The successful candidate(s) will be joining a growing team of surveyors completing work across a diverse spectrum of projects for both public and private clients as well as supporting our three sectors of Transportation, Energy and Land Development. Responsibilities will include all aspects of mapping from processing of survey data to final mapping production in both Microstation and Autocad platforms. Some field work assisting field surveyors may be involved. Attention to detail and adherence to company mapping standards are a must.


The successful candidate(s) must possess strong written and verbal communication skills including ability to present information in technical and non-technical terms.


Associates Degree Preferred or High School curriculum equivalent with survey CAD experience is a must. Survey field experience as well as post-secondary education will also be considered. Candidates may be required to demonstrate skills prior to hire. If you are a highly skilled technical CAD person wishing to work within a team of surveying professionals.

GIS Data Analyst – Canonsburg, PA


The GIS Data Analyst will be responsible for data collection and analysis relating to Oil and Gas industries. This position is well suited for someone who can work both independently or in a team environment.  The ideal candidate must represent Fisher Associates in a positive/professional manner when dealing with internal/external clients and manage client relationships to ensure client satisfaction.



  • Work with Oil & Gas client’s on GPS field data collection process
  • Operate GPS equipment in field
  • Process and analyze collected data in office
  • QA/QC all work to ensure accuracy
  • Consult with Inspectors to resolve cases of conflicting and/or missing information.
  • Document the receipt and status of all received and missing documentation.
  • Report weekly on project status and data progress.


Experience Required:

  • B. A. (Master’s degree a plus) in Geographic Information Systems.
  • 2+ years of GIS experience in the oil and gas pipeline industry a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong excel experience.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • 80% office/20% travel.

Land Development Project Manager – Canonsburg, PA


Full time position in our Rochester, Buffalo and Canonsburg office for a Land Development Project Manager with 10+ years of site development related experience. The position requires understanding all aspects of preparing conceptual site plans through construction documents on land development projects. A successful candidate would be expected to provide direction and oversight of internal design staff; collaborate with other market sectors within Fisher Associates; communicate with clients; coordinate submittals with regulatory approving agencies; and perform new business development in the Rochester market as well as other Upstate New York regions.


 Minimum qualifications include:

  • B. S. (Master’s preferred) in Civil Engineering and 10 – 15 years of civil/site design and project management experience
  • Professional Engineering License or ability to obtain PE license
  • Land development engineering experience in the Rochester market required
  • Integrity, people skills, team spirit and commitment to providing high quality deliverables
  • Project management experience, including project profit and loss management and personnel management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Party Chief – Canonsburg, PA


Fisher Associates has an immediate opening for an experienced Survey Crew Chief to support our Canonsburg, PA Office.  Candidates must be motivated and able to work independently serving our diverse clientele.  Documented experience with conventional, GPS, and data collection survey equipment for construction layout, boundary, as-built, and control survey duties is a must. Experience with, and the ability to assist Contractors with their machine control systems is a plus.


Enrollment in a company sponsored alcohol/drug testing program is mandatory.


Minimum Education Requirement:  High school diploma

Preferred Education: Associates of Science in Surveying (or equivalent experience.)


Position requires a minimum of 3 years in the role of Crew Chief. Must be able to operate survey field equipment and have a valid driver’s license.
