This project involved the construction of a new 40,000 square foot building which provides space for conferences, events, exhibitions, college admissions, food service and related functions. Fisher Associates provided an independent review and analysis of the Contractor’s baseline schedule. Monthly update reviews and statistical analysis were also performed using S-curves, histograms and activity work charts to help provide a pictorial representation of the work flow and intensity of construction activities. Fisher also created an independent schedule for the Construction Manager that was updated monthly to help better predict the status of the project.
This project involved providing construction management support services during building demolition and construction of a new 220 bed residence hall. During the pre-construction phase, Fisher Associates provided a technical review of the civil/site design, oriented towards value engineering and reducing the likelihood of errors and omissions that could result in change proposals. Fisher reviewed plans, phasing, and the project and submission manuals to determine if the building could be constructed during the time frame allotted. During construction, Fisher built the baseline schedule and updated it throughout construction to reflect new work activities. We analyzed it, identified the critical path activities, and rendered an opinion as to whether the project was on track to meet its completion date.
The 1930s Doty Hall Building on the SUNY Geneseo campus required a renovation and addition. The project entailed constructing a third-floor addition to the building and an interior renovation to house the Developmental Disabilities Services Organization that included classrooms, clinical suites, auditory suites, conference rooms, waiting rooms, a recital hall and administrative offices. Doty Hall is the first building visitors see and serves as the face of the Geneseo campus to the community and prospective students alike. This project includes the construction of the 200,000 square foot Dineen Hall for the law school. The building will feature an open architecture design, collaborative learning environment and high end technology. Fisher worked with the contractor to create a baseline schedule for the project and provide monthly updates and reports to the College. Fisher also worked closely with the contractor, updating the master schedule weekly, to ensure that the project remained on schedule and that we were able to foresee and schedule slips as early as possible for easy mitigation.
