Fisher Associates is pleased to welcome David J. Plante, AICP CEP, as our new Director of Energy. In this role, Dave will oversee our Energy Group, leading a team of professionals dedicated to delivering innovative, efficient, and cost-effective energy solutions to our clients.
Dave brings extensive experience in environmental and land use planning, regulatory programs, and energy systems. Before joining Fisher Associates, he served as Deputy Director of Regulatory Programs at the New York State Adirondack Park Agency (APA), where he managed multiple divisions and played a key role in shaping environmental regulations, particularly those governing energy systems. He was instrumental in modernizing permitting processes and developing guidelines for solar power and energy storage projects, ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory standards.
With a career spanning multiple states, Dave has managed multidisciplinary teams and led hundreds of environmental planning and engineering projects. His expertise in streamlining regulatory compliance, advancing energy solutions, and fostering collaboration makes him an ideal fit for this leadership role.
As Director of Energy, Dave will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of our Energy Group, ensuring the seamless integration of services across disciplines to deliver comprehensive solutions to our clients. He will also focus on growing and developing our energy team, strengthening our capabilities, and expanding our reach to meet the increasing demands of the industry. Additionally, Dave will play a crucial role in driving the Energy Group’s business development efforts, aligning with Fisher Associates strategic vision for continued growth and innovation.
