Congratulations to the Village of Watkins Glen on being recognized by the American Public Works Association – Central NY Branch of the APWA NY Chapter for the 2024 Public Works Project of the Year Award in Structures (< $ 5 Million category) for their Downtown Revitalization (DRI) projects, including the Fisher designed gateway Welcome Signs!
Nestled at the south end of Seneca Lake, the Village of Watkins Glen beckons travelers to the heart of New York’s Finger Lakes region. Collaborating closely with local stakeholders, our landscape architects embarked on a design journey that culminated in the creation of four iconic welcome signs. These gateway markers embody elements inspired by Watkins Glen State Park’s cascading waterfalls, the adrenaline of Watkins Glen international raceway, and the serene beauty of the lake itself.
