We are proud to see the His Holiness the Great 14th Dalai Lama Library & Learning Center recognized with a 2025 AIACNY Committee on the Environment (COTE) Award.
Located in Ithaca, the Center is envisioned as a global resource dedicated to education, cultural preservation, and the teachings of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. The project brings together archival collections, gathering spaces, and programs that promote compassion, dialogue, and understanding.
Fisher Associates served as the Landscape Architect, designing the outdoor environments that frame the building and shape the visitor experience. Our team focused on creating a landscape that feels peaceful, culturally resonant, and ecologically responsible. The design offers quiet moments for reflection and a welcoming arrival grounded in the natural character of the site, and included leading the SEQR process and municipal approvals.
This recognition highlights the collaborative effort behind a project with deep community and cultural significance. We are honored to have contributed to a place designed to inspire learning, connection, and well-being.
Landscapes can be powerful teachers too. We’re proud to help create a setting that supports the Center’s mission and enriches every visitor’s experience.
