Fisher Associates joined residents, local representatives, project partners, and community to celebrate the ribbon cutting of Village Grove – a new all-electric affordable housing community in Trumansburg, NY.
Representing our Landscape Architecture studio, Ryan Kovac, PLA, SITES AP, ASLA and Makenzie O’Rourke, RLA were honored to witness this thoughtful, resilient community come to life. Steven Woods Jr. , RLA, NOMA, who is also a member of the Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc. (INHS) Board was also in attendance.

At Fisher Associates, we believe that great design empowers people and strengthens communities. Our contributions to Village Grove reflect that mission:
- Visioning, community planning and open space design that fosters connection to nature, shared site amenities, the surrounding existing neighborhoods.
- Construction documents for a new mixed-use community vision grounded in context sensitive design, green infrastructure, ecological enhancements, and multi-modal connectivity.
- Construction-phase support to ensure every detail met our standards for quality through execution.

Village Grove is more than housing—it’s a model for accessible, sustainable living. With energy-efficient systems and people-first planning, it sets a new standard for what affordable communities can be.

A huge thank you to Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc. (INHS) for your leadership and to HOLT Architects for your collaborative spirit throughout the process, and to Sunbelt LLC for the vision that made this project come to life. We’re proud to be part of a team creating places where people and the planet thrive.
