On July 25, Wilkeson Pointe officially reopened to the public, marking an exciting new chapter for Buffalo’s Outer Harbor. This project is more than just a park upgrade—it’s a reflection of what thoughtful public space design can do for a community.
Fisher Associates was proud to serve as the landscape architect as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting the Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation (ECHDC).

Our role focused on enhancing public access while celebrating the unique ecology of the shoreline.

From native plantings and restored habitat to new trails, seating, and gathering areas, the design invites people to connect more deeply with the water, the landscape, and one another.

Projects like this remind us that landscape architecture has the power to do more than beautify—it can restore, reveal, and reconnect.

We’re grateful to ECHDC for the opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful effort and to collaborate with a talented team from start to finish.
