We’re proud to share that the Hopkins Avenue over Chadakoin Creek Bridge Replacement Project has been named the 2025 ABCD Bridge of the Year in the $2M–$10M category.
This award recognizes projects that exemplify innovative problem-solving, technical excellence, and thoughtful execution—from overcoming complex site and utility constraints to delivering long-term resilience, safety, and aesthetic improvements. The Hopkins Avenue Bridge project overcame complex site and utility constraints to deliver a structure that offers long-term resilience, safety, and aesthetic value to the community.
Originally built in 1930, the deteriorated two-span bridge was replaced with a thoughtfully designed single-span steel multi-girder structure – enhancing hydraulic performance, protecting critical infrastructure, and enhancing pedestrian access.

A huge congratulations to Chautauqua County for its leadership and vision—and to our Fisher team who worked closely with the County to bring this transformative project to life. This recognition is a testament to your dedication, collaboration, and technical excellence.
We also recognize Emily Smith, PE, our Director of Transportation, who was acknowledged at the event for her exemplary service as President of ABCD Western New York.

Well-deserved honors all around!
