We were proud to celebrate our CEO Roseann Schmid, PE as she was recognized as the ASCE Rochester Section’s Engineer of the Year.

This award was established by the ASCE Rochester Section to recognize distinguished civil engineers with significant engineering contributions as a practitioner in Rochester engineering community. Roseann follows in the footsteps of our firm’s founder, Claire Fisher, P.E., who became the first female engineer to win the award in 2000.
Roseann is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York State known to clients and colleagues for her endless thirst for knowledge and successful management of numerous infrastructure projects that improved quality of life in Upstate New York communities.
Her passion, drive, ambition, and desire to achieve excellence are reflected in her daily interactions with clients, colleagues, and the greater Rochester community. – Roseann is a volunteer and active supporter of Meals on Wheels and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and recently led Fisher’s GivePower trip to build a solar farm for a village in Colombia. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Rochester Downtown Development Corporation (RDDC) and is on the Advisory Board for Edison Career and Technology High School. She founded the Fisher Associates Career Training (FACT) program, which has helped educate Edison Tech students on a variety of engineering and technical career opportunities.

Thank you, Roseann, for your passion, drive, and service to the Fisher Family and Rochester engineering community – and congratulations on this well-deserved honor!
