The article by Fisher’s Dana White, P.E., who was the Assistant Project Manager and Project Engineer on the South Lyon Street Bridge Replacement, highlights how our design team and client worked together to navigate numerous design, coordination, and construction challenges — including an eminent domain proceeding involving a parcel with no known owner, a utility relocation at the 90% design milestone, and 11th-hour adjustments during construction to accommodate a contractor’s fabrication error, to name a few.

We are proud that this project, sponsored by the Genesee County Highway Department, reestablished a vital link between Batavia’s West Main Street commercial district and the residential neighborhood on the opposite side of Tonawanda Creek — giving the community a long-awaited infrastructure upgrade and improving safety and quality of life for Batavia residents.
