The Village of Fairport Project

The Village of Fairport is a bustling community with much to offer. On any given day, people can be seen walking, bicycling, jogging, and visiting the numerous shops, businesses, and restaurants located within this vibrant community. The existing roadway pavement on West Church Street from the Erie Canal to Route 250 was in need of milling and resurfacing. Understanding the high volume of pedestrians and bicyclists that use this corridor and the high quality of life that is important to this community, Fisher Associates worked with the Village and the community to create a design that addressed their pavement needs as well as improved the safety for non-motorized users. Improvement included ADA compliant sidewalks and curb ramps, replacing sunken or recessed manholes, and replacing catch basin frames and grates to address drainage issues and ensure bicycle safety. Fisher Associates was very excited to work on this project with the Village of Fairport and looks forward to future opportunities to partner with this community again.
