BOA Revitalization Plan designated by NYS Department of State (2021)

Comprehensive public outreach including meetings, newsletters, and stakeholder engagement

Fisher Associates supported the City of Rochester and the prime consultant in advancing environmental cleanup efforts for two City-owned brownfield sites at 24 and 32 York Street within the Bull’s Head Brownfield Opportunity Area (BOA). Building on Fisher’s earlier work preparing the BOA Revitalization Plan—designated by the NYS Department of State in 2021—the team helped position the City for successful redevelopment. Fisher played a key role in securing a $400,000 U.S. EPA Cleanup Grant and led public outreach efforts to engage the community throughout the remediation process. This included stakeholder coordination, development of a Citizen Participation Plan, and delivery of clear, accessible communications to support transparency and future mixed-use redevelopment.
