Connects multiple neighborhoods to regional trail systems

The Auburn Trail Connector establishes a critical link between the Auburn Trail and Ontario Pathways, advancing a broader 9-mile regional trail network. Fisher Associates led feasibility, environmental review, and design for this multi-use trail, providing a safe, off-road alternative to roadway travel. The project involved extensive coordination with agencies, municipalities, and stakeholders, along with detailed environmental studies and permitting. Wetland impacts were mitigated through coordination with the USACE, and pedestrian safety analyses informed key crossing designs. By connecting neighborhoods and regional destinations, the project enhances accessibility, promotes active transportation, and supports long-term community connectivity.
