Fisher Associates provided site design services for a new building addition at Cornell Law School, integrating modern functionality within the campus’s historic Gothic setting. The project included an underground classroom and auditorium while transforming an underutilized courtyard into a cohesive and accessible gathering space. The courtyard was lowered to improve indoor-outdoor connectivity and reimagined with a formal quad layout featuring granite pavers and stone walls that complement the surrounding architecture. Amenities such as seating areas, ADA-compliant access, and grand stairs enhance usability and accessibility. Sustainable elements, including a green roof and stormwater filtration system, were incorporated to support environmental performance. The result is a refined academic space that promotes learning and collaboration.
