Fisher Associates provided site planning and design services for the Ithaca College Rowing Center, a premier facility located along the Cayuga Lake Inlet. The project balanced the College’s vision, design team coordination, and regulatory requirements to create a highly functional and visually prominent boathouse setting. The site plan features a flexible plaza that accommodates social gatherings, boat operations, and emergency access. Sustainable design elements include a porous asphalt parking lot and a vegetated shoreline stabilization system to reduce erosion while preserving mature trees. Enhancements to the Cayuga Waterfront Trail, including a nautical-themed bike rack, improve accessibility and connectivity. The result is a resilient, user-focused facility that supports both athletic performance and community engagement.
