The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Welcome Center at Niagara Falls State Park receives millions of visitors annually, yet the surrounding landscape was fragmented, with confusing circulation patterns and limited gathering areas. To enhance the visitor experience, Fisher Associates designed a cohesive outdoor environment that enhances exploration and maximizes iconic views while respecting ecological sensitivities. By carefully sequencing walkways, gathering spaces, and panoramic viewpoints, the project transformed arrival and orientation into an engaging journey. The design balanced functionality with memorable experiences, ensuring visitors can enjoy the falls safely and intuitively while creating spaces that encourage social interaction and long-term engagement with the site.
