Conducted Phase I & II ESAs for four former industrial properties

Installed three 20-foot-deep groundwater monitoring wells for site characterization

Evaluated soil and groundwater conditions against NYSDEC cleanup standards to guide redevelopment

Redevelopment of former industrial properties along Northland Avenue required a clear understanding of existing environmental conditions and potential constraints. Fisher Associates conducted comprehensive Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) to evaluate historical site use, identify environmental concerns, and support eligibility for New York State redevelopment programs. Our team performed subsurface investigations, including soil and groundwater sampling, and installed monitoring wells to characterize site conditions. Analytical results were compared against NYSDEC standards to guide remediation strategies. By combining detailed environmental analysis with practical redevelopment insight, Fisher helped position the site for safe reuse, supporting Buffalo’s broader revitalization efforts and transforming underutilized industrial land into an opportunity for future development.
