Fisher Associates provided construction engineering services for the rehabilitation of the Fairport Road (Route 31F) Bridge over Irondequoit Creek, supporting safe and efficient project delivery in a constrained, high-traffic corridor. The team developed detailed erection plans for prefabricated steel girder and concrete slab (Inverset) units, streamlining installation while minimizing disruption. Temporary works were a critical component of the project, including the design of a sheet pile wall to maintain vehicular traffic during staged construction and a temporary pedestrian bridge to ensure continuous public access. Through coordinated crane planning, specialty rigging, and structural analysis, Fisher delivered practical, field-ready solutions that enhanced safety, maintained mobility, and supported successful bridge rehabilitation.
