The Solar Street Improvement Project revitalized a key corridor connecting Destiny USA to the Inner Harbor. Fisher Associates designed roadway resurfacing, sidewalk reconstruction, and streetscape enhancements to improve safety and accessibility. ADA-compliant sidewalks, upgraded pedestrian signals, and a new mid-block crossing with RRFB technology significantly enhanced pedestrian mobility. Environmental investigations identified contaminated soils, requiring monitoring and specialized handling during construction. The addition of over 60 trees transformed the corridor into a more pedestrian-friendly environment, supporting both safety and urban beautification.
