Fisher Associates led the redesign of the Milne Library Plaza at SUNY Oneonta, transforming a key campus space into a vibrant hub that connects the historic core with newer campus areas. The project established a strong pedestrian axis and created a central gathering place to support both academic and social activities. The design features a lowered green quad framed by complementary hardscape elements that extend the library’s presence outdoors. Flexible seating encourages daily use, while a dynamic at-grade water feature serves as a splash pad in warmer months and an ice skating rink in winter. Through thoughtful planning and multifunctional design, Fisher enhanced connectivity, usability, and campus identity.
