Fisher Associates supported the State University of New York with a multi-phase effort to develop a comprehensive survey and GIS framework for the Upstate Medical Campus. The project included boundary determination and detailed topographic mapping across 12 densely developed city blocks, capturing buildings, infrastructure, and both above- and below-grade utilities. Advanced techniques, including ground penetrating radar and vacuum excavation, were used to refine subsurface utility data. All information was compiled into accurate base mapping and delivered in multiple formats to support planning and design. Fisher also developed a campus-wide GIS database and continues to provide training and technical support, enabling staff to maintain accurate, real-time data for ongoing operations and future improvements.
