Fisher Associates supported the development of the Turtle Creek Wind Farm, a utility-scale renewable energy project located in an agricultural region of northeastern Iowa. The project includes 56 Vestas V136 turbines and required coordinated civil and environmental planning to minimize impacts within active farmland. Fisher provided transportation route analysis, civil site design, stormwater management, and crane path layout to support turbine installation. During early planning, Fisher’s environmental team conducted field investigations to identify wetlands and streams, allowing the design to avoid and minimize impacts to sensitive resources. Through integrated engineering and environmental services, Fisher helped advance an efficient and environmentally responsible wind energy project.
