Fisher’s Geomatics Team completed the required ALTA/NSPS boundary survey efforts and subsurface gas line locations for this proposed 22,000-acre wind farm in central New York. The surveys were completed to ALTA/NSPS standards for over 125 individual land parcels. In conjunction with these efforts, subsurface utilities identified and located through a combination of underground line detection equipment and information from the individual purveyors. A GIS database was created and maintained housing all of the pertinent project information including but not limited to Land Owner and parcel information, environmental concerns, Orthoimagry, existing features of soils, topography, transportation, and roadways, and utilities. The project is planned to include approximately 30 wind turbines and infrastructure generating over 100MW of clean green electricity.
