The Peggy Ryan Williams (PRW) Center houses Ithaca College’s Office of Admissions, Office of Human Resources, and executive offices. Tasked with enhancing the campus landscape while accommodating the center’s diverse functions, our Landscape Architects embarked on a journey to create a space that seamlessly integrates nature, functionality, and sustainability.

Our Landscape Architects led the site design, construction documentation, and oversight for the PRW Center, along with crafting an inviting campus entry plaza and a serene donor recognition garden. These endeavors were not merely about constructing structures but about fostering connections between people and their surroundings, enriching the college experience while safeguarding the environment.
By leveraging innovative green infrastructure techniques and embracing native plantings, we minimized environmental impact while maximizing the center’s functionality and aesthetic appeal. This premier project for the college was one of the first buildings on a college campus to receive LEED Platinum status.

The parking lot and some sidewalks are paved with porous asphalt. On-site bioretention basins and sidewalks were designed to filter stormwater runoff. Several green roof areas reduce stormwater runoff and assist in reducing building thermal gain or loss. Native plantings and low-mow lawn eliminate the need for irrigation and reduce maintenance requirements.
