Project Story
Fisher Associates provided site design services for a new $130M water treatment plan and pump station for the Monroe County Water Authority. The project involves the construction of a pump station to deliver water from Lake Ontario to the new water treatment plant over two miles away via 54″ diameter water piping.
Fisher Associates performed the site design and engineering for the lake water pump station site and the water treatment plant site and prepared the site narrative for the Basis of Design Report. Our design work included a new access road, parking lot, new sanitary sewer extension, grading and drainage, a stormwater pollution prevention plan, and utility service connections. We also provided survey and mapping services. During construction, we reviewed shop drawings to evaluate completeness and compliance with the technical specifications. Our construction survey crews also performed the stakeout for the 8’diameter intake tunnel approximately one mile out into Lake Ontario that draws water to a pump house along the shoreline and for the force main feeding the new treatment plant.
