Project Story
Fisher Associates is proud to be a part of the Rochester Gas & Electric (RG&E) team for the reconstruction of approximately 27.6 miles of 345- and 115-kV transmission lines, and, improvements to three existing substations in the towns of Chili, Gates, Henrietta and the City of Rochester. As part of RG&E’s commitment to providing safe, reliable service to all their customers, RG&E, in conjunction with their parent company Avangrid Renewables, is making a significant investment to upgrade the electricity transmission system in the Rochester Region. This project known as the Rochester Area Reliability Project (RARP) will ultimately provide additional power to support growing demand, increase reliability, and, accommodate economic development in the Greater Rochester Region.
Fisher Associates is providing construction survey support to see this project through to successful completion. In support of the projects’ Environmental Management and Construction Plan, Fisher surveyors will be staking out the right of way limits, limits of disturbance, access roads, structure locations, work spaces and sensitive natural resources such as wetlands and streams.
