Fisher Associates has immediate openings for CAD Technicians in our Rochester and Buffalo offices.  The successful candidate(s) will be joining a growing team of surveyors completing work across a diverse spectrum of projects for both public and private clients as well as supporting our three sectors of Transportation, Energy and Land Development. Responsibilities will include all aspects of mapping from processing of survey data to final mapping production in both Microstation and Autocad platforms. Some field work assisting field surveyors may be involved. Attention to detail and adherence to company mapping standards are a must.

 

The successful candidate(s) must possess strong written and verbal communication skills including ability to present information in technical and non-technical terms.

 

Associates Degree Preferred or High School curriculum equivalent with survey CAD experience is a must. Survey field experience as well as post-secondary education will also be considered. Candidates may be required to demonstrate skills prior to hire. If you are a highly skilled technical CAD person wishing to work within a team of surveying professionals.

Land Development Project Manager – Rochester, NY

 

Full time position in our Rochester Corporate Office for a Land Development Project Manager with 10+ years of site development related experience. The position requires understanding all aspects of preparing conceptual site plans through construction documents on land development projects.  A successful candidate would be expected to provide direction and oversight of internal design staff; collaborate with other market sectors within Fisher Associates; communicate with clients; coordinate submittals with regulatory approving agencies; and perform new business development in the Rochester market as well as other Upstate New York regions.

 

 Minimum qualifications include:

  • B. S. (Master’s preferred) in Civil Engineering and 10 – 15 years of civil/site design and project management experience
  • Professional Engineering License or ability to obtain PE license
  • Land development engineering experience in the Rochester market required

  • Project management experience, including project profit and loss management and personnel management

Senior Civil Engineer – Rochester, NY

 

Self-motivated, enthusiastic, Senior Civil Engineer needed in Rochester NY for our growing Energy team.  You will have a wide range of work assignments related to site layout, grading, stormwater management, utilities, drainage systems, regulatory permitting issues, etc. Top candidates will be able to work independently, including in design related software.  You will be working in design teams across offices, with regulatory agencies, clients and the public to maintain favorable working relationships and implement client-focused service measures.

 

Qualified candidates must possess:

  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in, and knowledge of, multiple aspects of civil engineering and site design
