Fisher Associates has immediate openings for CAD Technicians in our Rochester, NY, Buffalo, NY and Canonsburg, PA offices.  The successful candidate(s) will be joining a growing team of surveyors completing work across a diverse spectrum of projects for both public and private clients as well as supporting our three sectors of Transportation, Energy and Land Development. Responsibilities will include all aspects of mapping from processing of survey data to final mapping production in both Microstation and Autocad platforms. Some field work assisting field surveyors may be involved. Attention to detail and adherence to company mapping standards are a must.

 

The successful candidate(s) must possess strong written and verbal communication skills including ability to present information in technical and non-technical terms.

 

Associates Degree Preferred or High School curriculum equivalent with survey CAD experience is a must. Survey field experience as well as post-secondary education will also be considered. The position requires understanding all aspects of preparing conceptual site plans through construction documents on land development projects. The Rochester Office has a full-time position for a licensed Bridge Project Engineer with 8-12 years of transportation structures related experience. Understanding of MicroStation is preferable. This position is well suited for someone who can work both independently and in a team environment. Transportation Group Manager – Rochester, NY

 

Full time position in our Rochester Office for a licensed civil engineer with 10+ years of experience to serve as the Transportation Group Manager – NY within the Transportation Market Sector. This position will oversee the highway, structures, traffic, and construction inspection disciplines within our New York based offices that are under the Transportation Market Sector umbrella. The Transportation Group Manager will be responsible for management of the discipline leads, ensuring adherence to project budgets and schedules, guiding the design of projects, ensuring QA/QC is performed on all calculations and deliverables, and monitoring workload and staff utilizations. The Transportation Group Manager will also be involved in Go/No Go decisions for RFPs, writing proposals and attending interviews, marketing the transportation sector’s services to existing and new clients, and ensuring that Fisher Associates is known and visible in the marketplace. This position requires a diverse project management background and understanding all aspects of project development for a variety of transportation projects for the NYSDOT, NYSTA, and locally administered federal aid transportation projects.
